Digital Award Winners – 3Squared Ltd.
On Thursday 19th January the 3Squared senior team attended the annual Sheffield Business Awards having been shortlisted against stiff competition for The Highlander Digital Industries Award.
Tim Jones, Managing Director of 3Squared Ltd said “We have been watching the Sheffield Business Awards competition from a distance for a number of years believing we have what it takes to win but lacking the size and reach, we hadn’t submitted an application.
To be shortlisted against such great companies is a huge complement in itself. We met with the Highlander selection team and thought the meeting went well, but had a hill to climb in order to see off the other competitors. So to win tonight is absolutely fantastic and a real indication of the solid work and consistent innovation our business has delivered across industry for the past 10 years.
This award is a team award and I can speak for all my team when I say thank you very much to Highlander and the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We are blown away and now look to next years awards for some more silverware”.
3Squared were established in 2002 with a small budget and big ideas, the founder directors had a clear vision on where they wanted to take the business but had little business experience having just graduated from Sheffield Hallam University. The business principles and values they wrote down 10 years ago haven’t changed since the company’s inception and have supported the business through strong and weak economic times. 2012 – their 10th year – sees a team of 20 plus full time employees and a state of the art office space to support the next phase of development for the business, which has a core group of blue chip clients from around the world.
Suzanne Liversidge, President of the Sheffield Chamber said, “I would like to personally congratulate all the winners at this years Sheffield Business Awards on their achievements during the last 12 months and also praise the companies that were shortlisted.
The awards have once again highlighted the high caliber of businesses and individuals across the Sheffield Region and our city’s skills and achievements are emphasizes in the diversity of the sectors recognized at the awards, including manufacturing, engineering, and the charitable community.
It is now vital that we continue to encourage our local business across all sectors in this way to ensure we position ourselves at the forefront of economic growth.”
