We are looking for a Digital Business Analyst to join our Service Design Team (SDT). This role offers the opportunity to be involved in every stage of the product lifecycle, collaborating with multiple teams and external clients.

 

Essential skills/experience required:

  • Experience of working with external stakeholders and clients
  • Documenting of systems and business processes
  • Working in collaboration with Development teams on building web and mobile services
  • Stakeholder management, facilitation and negotiation skills
  • 2-5 Years of experience working in project teams that employ digital technology and techniques to solve complex problems
  • Knowledge of best practices and UX standards for web, iOS and Android apps
  • Ability to understand, conceptualise and communicate user flows using a variety of methods (from sketching simple drawings on whiteboards to designing interactive screens)
  • Commercial awareness for estimating and budgeting
  • Innovative problem-solving techniques
  • Understanding of the technical limitations of devices and software
  • Understanding of how business requirements relate to user needs
  • Excellent written and presentational skills

STRONGLY desired:

  • Experience in rail, logistics or transportation
  • Agile experience

Personal qualities required:

  • Ability to solve problems independently using an analytical approach
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to engage with senior staff
  • A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • The confidence to clarify unclear requirements or assumptions
  • Experience liaising with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities include:

  • Join senior team members in site visits to understand how our clients use our software in their day-to-day work
  • Assist with collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into documentation for new features and products.
  • Design high-level user flows for key user journeys
  • Collaborate with SDT, development and test colleagues to design solutions that give our customers added value
  • Join senior team members in gathering user feedback and positively managing expectations with business stakeholders across the project lifecycle
  • Track industry trends and participate in opportunities to grow your expertise to ensure the company remains at the leading edge of technologies and techniques
  • Communicate key insights and findings to the project team
  • Comfortably engage with stakeholders through interviews, presentations and workshops to understand and investigate
  • Capability to model the current as-is process and target process, business analysis, data analysis, process modelling and business architecture
  • Use modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
  • Communicate problem definitions, options assessments and feasibility studies including the benefits of your recommendations to the client and help to address any uncertainty and concern
  • Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make
  • Identify the processes and solution required to introduce your recommendations
  • Engage with the technical teams at 3Squared to deliver the proposed solution
  • Work with the account directors to identify possible additional revenue opportunities with the client
